Gazebo

The day we had the cabin built we also put together this lovely gazebo which we thought we would have many wonderful hours enjoying. Mike, Renee, and I were the main ones who screwed about 5000 nuts - bolts - and screws into this crazy thing and at the time, we did not have a ladder up there. After the first couple of trips we noticed the winds were picking up and kind of moved around a bit. I tried to secure it in place with big rocks. Big joke because the next time we came up it looked like this........

Man, what a bummer! The same thing happened on the ridge at my sister's place, to their big screen tent. They had intended to sit out there with a campfire nearby and avoid the mosquitoes that plague the lands around the Wisconsin river. The thing blew over in the middle of the night and then slid down the hill on some slick mud.

Yeah unfortunately it is now toast as the wind has whipped it around more and more - I did salvage some of the metal pieces and created a backdrop and put a tarp around it and created an outdoor shower. Mo made a wonderful thing with a bucket and hose and he heats the water with propane for me. Works great as long as it is not too cold!
